Bjorn is a business graduate and highly experienced leader and has been at the forefront of transitioning businesses and creating successful value propositions for customers, shareholders and employees throughout his career. Bjorn is the Founder and CEO of SafeGuard World International having previously spent 10 years within one of the top three global payroll and HR service providers running marketing and sales functions.
During his early career Bjorn worked for HFC Bank (part of the Global HSBC Group) where he was quickly promoted to branch manager after one year in post – the youngest ever Branch manager at HFC in its history – and since then ran marketing and channel functions within the HR and payroll space. Most recently Bjorn founded SafeGuard World International, one the fastest growing organizations in the multi-country payroll outsourcing space. John Giles
Chief Operating Officer
John is one of the co-founders of SafeGuard World International. He is a seasoned payroll outsourcing professional having over 30 years experience in the payroll industry including 25 years at Ceridian, where he rose to Services Director; Managed Payroll Services.
John held responsibility for over 500 key accounts and a further 4,000 SME (small and medium enterprises) clients, paying over 20 million people per year and transferring £20 billion of customer funds annually. He was the Project Lead for the implementation of a 110,000 employee payroll with a large UK retail organization and has worked with numerous FTSE 250 companies and Fortune 500 companies to deliver outsourced payroll services both domestically and internationally. Tony Lloyd
Chief Financial Officer
Tony joined SafeGuard World International in 2010 having spent over 25 years in a number of senior financial positions. After qualifying with a “Big 4” accounting firm, Tony spent over five years at the head office of the world’s largest advertising group before working for a UK private equity firm.
Working both in the UK and internationally, Tony has been the Chief Financial Officer for a number of companies, ranging from “start ups” to more established companies, with the largest growing to a turnover of over $600m. With a broad range of experience in international finance and accounting, Tony brings a wealth of experience readily applicable to SafeGuard World International’s growth and expansion.

Tristan Woods
Chief Technology Officer
Tristan spent a number of years working for Ceridian in the UK in a variety of client-facing roles. He established the operational service centre and implementation functions within SafeGuard World International and was accountable for all areas of operations, client satisfaction and service delivery during the early years of the business.
More recently Tristan has headed up SafeGuard World International’s Professional Services function, accountable for solution design, the consultancy business and pre-sales functions. He has a keen interest in developing solutions that meet and exceed client needs, and ensure accurate and smooth implementations. Tristan was recognized in Payroll World magazine’s “Top 50 Most Influential” in 2009 and “Top 10 Payroll Professionals” in 2011. Read more.

Chris Draeger
VP of Global Marketing
After serving Fortune 1000 clients in account management roles at one of the largest global advertising agencies in the world, Chris served in various marketing roles in the telecommunications and software industries.
Prior to joining SafeGuard World International, Chris spent seven years as Vice President of Group Marketing at Crown Worldwide, a global relocation and information management company. Chris and her team helped support the company’s significant growth, the roll-out of two new business divisions and several operational programs including leadership training, quality service and corporate social responsibility. Chris is a results-oriented, creative visionary who thrives on developing a high-level strategy and overseeing executions flawlessly.

Pamela Webb
VP Business Services
Pamela is an industry veteran in the Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) industry with more than 25 years experience, which included serving as a global HR and payroll product manager for IBM and Ceridian, and specializing in go-to-market strategies for early growth HRIS companies such as Jobpartners, Meta4 and Cézanne Software.
Her deep understanding of best practices in international HR and global payroll serves Pamela well as she heads up SafeGuard World International's Business Services division including Implementation, Project Management, Supply Chain Optimization, Audit & Compliance, and Corporate Training.

Neil Carpenter
General Manager, EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa)
Neil has been in the payroll outsourcing space for the majority of his career. His career began at Ceridian in the UK where he was one of the most successful in his team three years running. A first-class relationship builder, Neil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to discussions with prospective clients.
Neil is responsible for business development throughout Europe, the Middle East & Africa regions (EMEA). He and his team continually work to an objective of ensuring clients needs are exceeded. Neil has been with SafeGuard World International since 2008 and has enjoyed huge success, having been involved with three of the company’s largest client contracts. Neil lives in the UK with his wife, two children and cat, and is a keen sports enthusiast.

Kevin Dougherty
General Manager, Americas
As General Manager of the America's, Kevin is responsible for managing the Sales and Operations team for Payroll in the Americas, and also the Global Employment Outsourcing organization. During his tenure, he has been responsible for adding many new clients to SafeGuard World International including members of Fortune 500. His "customer first" approach has led to many successful SafeGuard World International implementations.
Prior to SGWI, Kevin was a Group Vice President of Sales with Ceridian. During this time, he was responsible developing a team that brought new customers on board, and for establishing winning customer relationships. Prior to Ceridian, Kevin was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Villanova University, and holds an MBA from at Wake Forest University.

Julius Ranta
General Manager, Asia Pacific
Julius has been with SafeGuard World International since the very beginning and has been very deeply entrenched in the development of the company’s growth. Over the years, he has held a wide variety of managerial roles, moving from International Sales Manager and Channel Partnerships Manager to his current role as General Manager for Asia-Pacific, an important growth region for SafeGuard World International. Like many of his peers at SafeGuard World International, Julius’ background is partly with industry competitors. This experience, along with the breadth of skills and knowledge gained from his diverse roles at SafeGuard World International, gives him the readiness to manage the challenges of the Asia-Pacific region.
